Jodie Foster (real name Alicia Christian Foster) was born a few months after her parents separated, the fourth child of both. At the beginning of 1963, Foster's mother Brandy and her children moved to her girlfriend in the San Fernando Valley northwest of Los Angeles, at which the major contribution was made to the family upkeep. The relationship lasted until 1976.

In December 2007 Jodie Foster first publicly confessed to her longtime girlfriend Cydney Bernard. In May 2008 it was reported about an alleged separation of the couple. Jodie Foster is a mother of two sons, who came in 1998 and 2001 to the world.
